About Amanda
- I'm licensed in the state of Georgia: LPC005481. I graduated from Georgia State University with a Master of Science (M.S.) and a Specialist in Education (EdS) in Professional Counseling. I'm certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. In addition to my counseling practice, I'm a science writer and a website producer. I'm also a former journalist. I worked in this profession for 40 years. Covering stories where people were suffering first-had led me to counseling.
My Approach to Therapy
- I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based techniques to help you learn to manage difficult emotions, and to find healthy solutions to your problems.
My Clients
- I work with adults 21+ from all backgrounds dealing with anxiety, panic, depression, and with relationship issues at home or work.
